Eduard Tadevosyan - 1st violin

Studied at the Tchaikovsky Special Music School with Professor Tatyana Hayrapetyan in Yerevan and graduated with honors. Continued education at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory with Professor Leonid Kogan (1965-1970). He is a prizewinner of Transcaucasian Competition (1965), laureate of Wieniawski International Competition (1967, Poland), Margaret Long and Jacques Thibaud International Competition (1969, France). In 1970 joined the Komitas State String Quartet by personal invitation from Avet Gabrielyan. Since 1976 he is the first violin of the quartet. Toured more than 60 countries of the world with the Komitas Quartet, as a soloist with many internationally acclaimed orchestras. Many Armenian and foreign composers dedicated their works to him and to the quartet. He is a People Artist of the Republic or Armenia, Chairman of Gabrielyan / Aslamazyan Violin and Cello Competition, juror of international competitions and Dean of Orchestral Department of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory. Professor of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory.

Syuzi Yeritsyan - 2nd violin

Ms. Yeritsyan was born in Yerevan into the family of prominent violin makers. She graduated from the Tchaikovsky Music College (class of distinguished teacher P.Haykazian). As a soloist she many times appeared with the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra . She participated in a number of festivals like Pommersfelden and Schleswig-Holstein (Germany). In 1997 she won the 1 st Prize at the International Kocian Competition for Young Violinists (Czech Republic). Syuzi Yeritsyan is the 2nd prize winner at the Aram Khachatryan International Violin Competition (2005, Armenia). She gave concerts and recitals, appeared as a chamber musician in France, Germany, Czech Republic, Japan, UK, U.S.A. Canada, Syria and Lebanon. Together with the Schleswig-Holstein Festival orchestra she toured Hungary and Brazil. In 2007 was a member of Khachaturian Quartet. Currently, Syuzi is a post-graduate student of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory (class of Prof. A. Mkrtchian). Since 2008 Ms. Yeritsyan is 2nd violinist of the Komitas State Quartet.

Aleksandr Kosemyan - viola

Studied at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory with Professor Hrachya Bogdanyan. Laureate of Armenian Youth Award (1990). Was the soloist of the "Gandzer" Ancient Music Ensemble and a concertmaster of the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra. He is known as a first performer of works by Armenian composers. Appeared with ensembles and symphony orchestras in Armenia and abroad and has recordings. He is a juror of national competitions. Joined the Quartet in 1990. Toured more than 30 countries of the world with the Komitas Quartet. Professor of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory in viola and violin.

Aram Talalyan - cello

In Armenia he studied with Armen Mesropyan, in the U.S.A. he received Master's degree in music and Artist diploma at the Yale University with D. Finch and A. Pariso. Prize-winner of numerous competitions: Markneukirchen International Competition (1986, Germany), All-Soviet Union Cello Competition (1988), Yale University Competition (1993, USA). From 1995 till 1997 was Principal Cellist at New West Symphony Orchestra. In the period of 1995-1997 was a founding member of the Madison Festival of Music in Wisconsin (USA) and a frequent guest artist in music festivals including Alaska's Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival (USA). Joined the Quartet in 2000. Toured 30 countries of the world with the quartet, as a soloist, with orchestras and international music groups. He is known as a conductor. Assistant Professor in Chamber Music, Cello and Early Music Departments at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory.
