Aram Talalyan - cello

In Armenia he studied with Armen Mesropyan, in the U.S.A. he received Master's degree in music and Artist diploma at the Yale University with D. Finch and A. Pariso. Prize-winner of numerous competitions: Markneukirchen International Competition (1986, Germany), All-Soviet Union Cello Competition (1988), Yale University Competition (1993, USA). From 1995 till 1997 was Principal Cellist at New West Symphony Orchestra. In the period of 1995-1997 was a founding member of the Madison Festival of Music in Wisconsin (USA) and a frequent guest artist in music festivals including Alaska's Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival (USA). Joined the Quartet in 2000. Toured 30 countries of the world with the quartet, as a soloist, with orchestras and international music groups. He is known as a conductor. Assistant Professor in Chamber Music, Cello and Early Music Departments at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory.
